Because life is ever-changing, we experience the kaleidoscope of identity changes throughout a lifetime. At Highland Park, we understand how this constant identity change continues well into maturity. The senior adult ministry of Highland Park seeks to honor God by providing opportunities for senior adults to grow spiritually, fellowship with one another, and reach lost and unchurched senior adults in the community through Bible studies, outreach opportunities, and involvment in various ministries. This growing ministry also encourages senior adults not to "retire" in their service to Christ but to continue to tell of "God's power to the next generation, His might to all who are to come." (Psalm 71:18).Our Senior Adult ministry is a place for adults 55 and up to engage in activities, ministry, mentoring, spiritual growth, and connection with peers.

Senior citizens (defined as those over 65) are the fastest growing age segment of American society. The so-called "age wave" which is breaking over our society means that one in three Americans is over 50, and one in five is over 65. There are more Americans over 65 than residents of Canada!
